Licensed facilities across Greater Philadelphia.
Philly Senior Advisor lists licensed licensed hospice agencies across Greater Philadelphia — Philadelphia and the Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester County suburbs. Typical cost in 2026: $28–$36/hr.
Pennsylvania splits senior-care licensing across two agencies: the PA Department of Human Services (DHS) licenses Personal Care Homes (PCH) under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 2600 and Assisted Living Residences (ALR) under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 2800 (Act 56 of 2007); the PA Department of Health (DOH) separately licenses Long-Term Care Nursing Facilities under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 211, plus home health and hospice agencies (verify at the appropriate PA DHS or PA DOH facility search). Medicaid long-term care support is delivered through Pennsylvania's Community HealthChoices (CHC) and the LIFE program (Pennsylvania's own PACE/PACENET is a separate prescription-subsidy program, unrelated to placement). CHC does not pay for PCH/ALR room and board.
